Cameron started dabbling in running during the off-season occasionally doing 10 kms or 6.2 miles races and participated in and completed the 2008 prestigious Boston Marathon, the world's oldest annual marathon, run over the Olympic distance of 26 miles, 385 yards or 42.19 kms.
