The Image from Mathews is a compact hunting rig, not only suited to manoeuvrability in the bush, but also a good match for shorter draw length archers. The larger sized cams on this bow give it the feel of a much longer axle to axle bow at full draw.

Last year's model, the V3X, saw the introduction of Bridge-Lock technology that allows integrated mounting of specially designed sights to prevent unwanted movement and make accessories on the bow more in line. This year the innovative Bridge-Lock stabiliser system allows Bridge-Lock specific stabilisers to be adjusted in length of ½" increments to not only achieve perfect stabilisation, but also create a more rigid connection.

Once again Switchweight modules are featured which easily allow changes in peak weight from 43# to 50#. Gone are the days of needing to order your hunting bow with a specific poundage set of limbs, or even not being able to order a hunting bow that you can draw. Not only is this great for individual bow customisation, it is very convenient for resale in the future. Let off is standard at 85% but 80% let off modules can be specially ordered.

This year the grip can be removed and the riser is finished underneath, for a slim feel. For that special touch and sharp look, as an option, Mathews also has side plates available.

Also compatible with the Mathews Image is the Stay Afield System (S.A.S.) that allows work to be carried out on your bow on the hunt or in the field. New peep needed, replacement string to be fitted, this all can be done with the assistance of the S.A.S. which can be stored in the smallest of spaces.
