In the few years since its introduction, the Savannah has become one of the best selling longbows of in Martin's long history.

The name Savannah is widely known and positively discussed in the circles of longbow enthusiasts.

Its reflex / deflex design stores energy while eliminating the hand shock associated with many longbow models.

A shorter, compact 62" length is especially ideal for shorter draw lengths, but will draw smoothly for archers up to 30".

When a longbow is of a reflex / deflex design, hand shock and vibration disappears and speed increases. No bow offers a better example of these benefits than the Savannah.

In 2007 at the NAA and FITA Star Flight Championships on the Bonneville Salt Flats Flight Range in the US, a Martin Savannah crushed the flight record. While testing the prototype of the Savannah Longbow, Larry Hatfield broke the US National and World Flight Record by surpassing the old mark by a whopping 25 yards. Larry has been the General Manager of Martin's Howatt traditional bow plant at Yakima in Washington state, USA for 44 years. World Record Holder Larry Hatfield has dedicated his career to the quality of Martin's traditional line. His 44 years at Martin Archery has kept the traditional bowyer's art alive, so you can have the best bow available.

Looking for a custom bow?

Because Martin hand craft their bows one at a time, they can offer many custom options on the model of your choice and can provide custom draw weights, measured at your personal draw length. 52# @ 27", for example.

Add a message or name to be applied beneath your bow's finish, such as "Custom Made for John Archer". Describe your preferred grip style and they'll do their very best to shape your grip accordingly.

Martin even offer custom installation of sight, quiver and bowfishing mounts.

Limbs consist of a two lamination Bubinga core covered with Zebrawood and topped with clear glass and black fiberglass overlays.

The Savannah's riser is made from bubinga with laminated maple highlights and features a slim, comfortable grip for consistency and accuracy.
