Bear Titan Recurve Bow 60in Description
For more than 80 years, Bear has proudly been America's Number 1 brand in youth and institutional archery. By designing equipment to specifically fit the needs of youth and intermediate shooters, Bear is making certain young shooters have the best chance to develop their skills and become legends themselves.
Bear Titan Fibreglass Recurve Bow complete with string from Bear Archery is an excellent starting point as a beginner, youth or intermediate bow and is designed for young archers, pre-teens and teenagers from the age of 12 and older (this may vary depending on a child's stature and shooting ability) and will provide many years of excitement and enjoyment as they learn the skills of our great sport of archery.
The Titan is terrific fun for the young archer just starting out, who has been inspired by a character in a movie, on TV or in a book or has read about Robin Hood or William Tell.
The Bear Titan is great fun to shoot for people who just want to have a shoot at the farm or for school camps, a must for schools, scout groups, girl guides, camps or sport, recreation and leisure facilities.
This bow can be used by right-handed and left-handed archers.
It features a nicely designed, integral composite deflex full-sized moulded poly comfortable grip and is lightweight - the Titan weighs less then 1 pound or 453 grams which makes it an extremely light bow but the frame is strongly built.
The brace height is very forgiving of bad stance and technique and the bow is sturdy enough to withstand quite a bit of abuse.
The bow is tough and sturdy and will withstand rough use by youth, who may not be the most gentle on their equipment.
The perfect fiberglass recurve bow for every level of archery proficiency!
This simple recurve is great for beginners just learning the basics, intermediate archers honing their skills and masters who enjoy the reliability and consistency of a no-frills bow.
Durable and easy to use, its ambidextrous design can be quickly picked up by any student, making it the perfect solution for schools and other institutions looking for a one-size-fits-all bow.
The Titan is an accurate bow and properly tuned, can achieve 2 inch groupings from 40 yards and from 50 yards, 3 inch groupings.
A bow stringer is not included but is highly recommended for safe stringing and de-stringing of recurve bows and to prevent limb twist. Stringing a bow without a bow stringer, or stringing it backwards will void a bow's warranty. It is recommended to unstring your bow if you do not plan to be shooting your bow within the next week. Bowstringers are sold separately. View the range at Bowstringers. Store your bow on its side or hanging vertically from a hook or peg. Never rest the bow on the lower tip for extended periods of time. Never dry fire the bow, which is shooting the bow without an arrow.

Countless thousands of today's archers started out with a fibreglass recurve bow and have not looked back, some going on to become world champions, club members or just shooting arrows in the back paddock.
An archery coach reviewed the Titan. "I observed a group of Boy Scouts using the Bear Titan and many of the Scouts were able to maintain 2 inch groupings from 25 yards or 23 metres. In my own testing, I maintained 2 inch groupings from 40 yards or 36 metres and 3 inch groupings from 50 yards or 45 metres. If you wish to purchase additional arrows, I recommend 28" or 30" carbon arrows. These will be more durable than aluminium arrows and will work very well for either target shooting or small game hunting. The Bear Titan has a comfortable grip and is lightweight. It's pretty comfortable to hold and I didn't have any weariness or fatigue after shooting it for several hours. The Boy Scouts and other outdoors-oriented youth groups use the Bear Titan quite frequently and their members rarely, if ever, report any difficulties or discomfort from holding and shooting the bow for long periods. The Titan is a full size solid one piece glassflex recurve youth bow that can take some abuse. The moulded poly handle grip with built in arrow shelf allows use by either right or left handed shooters. That means it's a one-size-fits-all bow. This bow is a recurve bow and is not a toy. Children under 16 years of age require adult supervision when shooting this bow. Pick one up for that special child in your life. They'll love you for it! At 60 inch overall length, this bow is almost an adult-sized bow. It's made of composite limbs with a plastic and rubber-gripped riser. The materials used are quite sturdy and the bow stands up to a good deal of abuse at the hands of rough-and-tumble 12-year-olds. The bow is designed to be ambidextrous, so youth who are either right-handed or left-handed will all find the bow easy and comfortable to hold. The bow has a draw length of 22 inch to 28 inch and a draw weight of 20# to 29#. Any Dacron bowstring will work very well with this bow. Weighing in at less than a pound, this is a very light bow, indeed. The light weight does not impact the sturdiness of the bow, though. I'm certain that I overdrew the bow on several occasions without any harm to the bow. When stringing the bow, it's always a good idea to use a bow stringer for this task. I strongly recommend buying one, because it makes stringing the bow much safer and easier. I suggest buying a compressed foam target block or some sort of foam backstop."
This is what people have said about the Bear Titan Fibreglass Recurve Bow.
5 out of 5 stars. "I have several old Titans I use with beginners and was looking for the exact same bows to keep things consistent but these are scarce. I'm glad I stumbled upon your site because these are perfect. Now if only I could find replacement strings! Thanks." From DK from USA
5 out of 5 stars. "Good inexpensive bow. I needed a good inexpensive bow for a small non-profit program designed to inspire budding archers. It's a very entry level course. This bow was an acceptable option, since it was more like a traditional bow. Considering the next step up is about $40 more, we are satisfied. I still have a twenty year old fiberglass bow that works fine and it looks practically identical to this one. Works fine. So far, so good. I'll let you know if that changes, but right now this is doing the job fine." From Mary Sweeney from USA
