Hamskea Full Capture Versa Rest

After three years of prototypes and development, trials at the Las Vegas Archery Festival in 2011, resulting in an appearance in the Men's Pro Shoot down round, a perfect field round to its credit and multiple successful field tests, Hamskea Archery Solutions is proud to introduce the Versa Rest.

VersaRest with tournament proven accuracy is offered with full containment for the most discerning bowhunters. The Versa Rest maintains its versatility in that this one rest can still be configured as a limb actuated (top or bottom limb), cable actuated, fall away (cable, cable slide) or fixed blade and can be configured as a full containment hunting rest right out of the package. The Hamskea Full Capture Versa-Rest comes standard with both the Accu-Guide launcher and the Containment launcher.

This rest has been bowhunter proven from grizzly bear hunts in Alaska to the most pursued big game of them all, the whitetail deer.

The containment bracket is made of 30% glass filled nylon material, the same material used in tactical weapons for the US military. Tough as nails, the containment kit comes with a wide-blade containment launcher that picks up the arrow in every position.

The "tonsil" side gate ensures for quick, quiet and incredibly easy arrow side loading and accommodates all arrow sizes. If that wasn't enough, the full containment Versa Rest is also offered with one of three limb clamp options of Standard, 5-8 inch and 3-4 inch to accommodate every solid and split limb configuration by every bow manufacturer.

Standard limb clamp by Hamskea is a dual bracket design with a single screw that sandwiches the limb between the brackets while acting as the dampening coil mounting device. The standard limb clamp comes with rubber pads to protect the finish on your limbs and works on most solid limb or split limb bows. The attachment cord is a .030 inch diameter braided halo material, with low stretch characteristics and has a 215# tinsel breaking strength. The Hamskea limb clamp system can also be used to retrofit to your existing non-Hamskea limb actuated arrow rests.

5-8 inch limb clamp by Hamskea was specifically designed for the Hoyt Spyder bow series with the #3 RKT cam but can be used on other narrow limb bows as well. With Hoyt AirShox and the #3 RKT cam on the Hoyt Spyder, there is little room for the Standard limb clamp. This low profile 5-8 inch single limb clamp fits perfectly, with room to spare. With the dual bracket and screws, even pressure is applied through the clamp system. The dampening coil is mounted to the lower clamp via a separate mounting screw. Couple this with a protective sticky tape and the clamp will not damage the finish of your limb and will not move. This clamp is best served on limbs that range in width from 0.625 inch to 0.5 inch. This clamp can be used on Hoyt Spyder, Mathews Creed and other narrow limb bow designs.

3-4 inch limb clamp by Hamskea was designed to be low weight and low profile, yet still serves as a true mechanical attachment mechanism for the dampening coil and cord to your rest. With the dual bracket and screws, even pressure is applied through the clamp system. The dampening coil is mounted to the lower clamp via a separate mounting screw. Couple this with a protective sticky tape and the clamp will not damage the finish of your limb and will not move. This clamp is best served on limbs that range in width from 0.75 inch to 0.65 inch. This clamp can be used on Hoyt, Mathews, Bear, PSE, Strothers and a variety of other split limb bow designs.

This is the most versatile and configurable rest on the market today. Attention to detail was applied to every aspect of the design resulting in a rest that is built like a Panzer tank yet performs like a fine Swiss watch! Hamskea's focused approach led to an End-2-End (E2E) sealed stainless bearing containment system and Zero Tolerance Technology (ZT2) that takes advantage of state of the art machining processes. These design elements result in a rest that maximises your accuracy!

The Versa Rest comes with all the hardware to configure your rest any way you choose and comes standard with three launcher blade options! A .012 inch stainless spring steel wide blade launcher and a .012 inch stainless spring steel narrow blade launcher for the fixed position. In addition, it comes with the contoured Accu-Guide launcher, which is a rigid launcher which can be used for target, 3D or hunting. The contoured launcher comes with a custom, pre-cut felt piece for ultra quite performance while hunting.

Integrated into the design is the ability to adjust the angle of the launcher blade's up position and down or stop position. Two set screws in the body of the rest, along with stack washers set these angles. If you like your launcher at a low angle, remove the factory installed washer and the angle will be lowered. If you like a steeper launcher angle, add washers to create the desired angle. Many times launchers slam into the bow riser, causing additional launcher bounce and noise. The Hamskea Versa Rest second set screw allows you to set the stop position of the launcher, eliminating the bounce. No other rest on the market gives you this custom flexibility. In addition, the launchers can be positioned left to right on the shaft, using the multiple mounting hole positions, allowing you to make large windage adjustments.

One common problem with mechanical rests is the launcher can bounce up into the path of the arrow. The VersaRest employs an in-line spring mounted to the limb clamp that minimises this effect. This in-line spring also acts like a shock absorber and reduces the force of the impact that the limb imparts on the rest as the launcher slams into the stop position. The in-line spring ensures many years of consistent and reliable performance from the Versa-Rest.

Often times, rests have cantilevered designs which will have increased play as they wear down over time and accuracy is only as good as your equipment's repeatability The Versa Rest employs an End-2-End design which captures the outboard end of the shaft, driving the effects of bearing wear to almost zero. The stainless steel bearings ensure a smooth Swiss watch type action and the full capture design of the outer bearing results in Zero Tolerance Technology. The "C" clamp compression lever arm design and the octagon shaft allow for repeatable attachment with zero slip which is another example of Zero Tolerance Technology.

If that wasn't enough, the Versa Rest I-beam design is proven to be the strongest and lightest on the market. This feature also allows for the integration of a rear rubber arrow guide that ensures the launcher will pick up your arrow every time you draw your bow.
