Bowtech Reckoning Gen2 36 Description
The Bowtech slogan "A company obsessed by accuracy" could not be more evident than in the Reckoning series. Bows that can truly be described as revolutionary in design. They are a bow tuner's dream. The Reckoning Gen2 36 takes ease of adjustment to a whole new level.
The Reckoning Gen2 36 perfectly fits the bill for the ultimate 3D and Target bow. It is absolutely suited to tournament archery due to its extended axle to axle length, ultra-wide riser, comfortable string angle and moderate brace height.
This time around Bowtech has once again kept the Deadlock cam system from its predecessor, the Reckoning 38. No more yokes to twist, no shims to swap out, the Deadlock system has done away with it all. All you need to do is unlock the deadlock bracket, adjust the tune screw clockwise or anti-clockwise to move the cam, then re-lock down with the lock screw. The same adjustment needs to be carried out top and bottom. The Deadlock cam system allows the archer to perfect the string path for effortless tuning and to be able to lock it down for life. What makes it even better is that it can be done without a bow press!
Long draw archers can rejoice. Not only do they get an increase in axle to axle length but also an increase in draw length range, now stretching out to 32.5" to accommodate more archers.
The Deadlock cam system found on this bow is an evolution of the super successful Overdrive Binary Cam, found on such bows as the Realm and BT Mag. Now with even great adjustment abilities, the Reckoning Gen2 36 achieves the highest levels of tuning and consistency by combining all the best possible attributes in a cam system of Symmetry, Synchronisation and Stability. A 100% tunable system that maximises cam stability while maintaining perfect synchronisation for unmatched accuracy.
The cam system features the all new Timelock. This allows for adjustments to cam timing with the turn of an Allen screw without the need of a bow press. Super convenient while in the field to get your bow feeling just right or make that much needed adjustment.
Another advantage of the cam system employed on this bow is the FlipDisc Pro module. Not only does it alter draw length it also allows for a change between different let offs to get your bow perfectly comfortable for you at full draw.
Many archers consider the grip to be one of the most important and critical features on any bow. GripLock allows custom positioning of the angle of your grip and lock it there to fine-tune hold for increased accuracy. This grip is designed to increase shot stability while assisting in more consistent hand placement.
Limb pockets are one of the most important parts of a bow in keeping consistency and in tune. The Deadlock pocket locks the entire bow structure as one and stops unwanted component movement shot to shot.
In designing the Reckoning Gen2 36, Bowtech listened to their Pro Staff. People wanted better accuracy and easier tuning and they got it! With valuable input from Professional Archers Tim Gillingham and Paige Pearce, Bowtech are onto a winner! Less time tuning, more time shooting and reliable accuracy are all attributes of this finely honed shooting platform.
The highly machined riser features multiple locations for Bowtech's Orbit Dampeners. Not only do they deaden vibration post shot, they can also be strategically placed on the riser to offset the weight of accessories to assist in the overall balance of the bow.
No two archers have the same anchor point. Some lower on the jaw line and others higher near the corner of the mouth. This can sometimes result in a reduced range of elevation in a sight bar due to the sight not being able to go high or low enough. Bowtech has addressed this issue with added sight bracket threads in the Reckoning riser.
Once again we see the utilisation of Bowtech's Deadlock cable containment system with FLX guard. This system reduces torque and increases forgiveness on every shot. This translates into more consistent accuracy and is another feature of added value in this easy tuning machine.
