BCY No 62XS Braided Centre Serving Description
BCY 62XS braided centre serving material is 20% stronger and more durable than standard black and white serving due to a higher percentage of Spectra or Dyneema. Grips well.
Suitable for end or centre serving where increased durability is required.
Use on centre serving when a small number of strands are used in the string.
Used worldwide by archers and string makers alike as a premier serving thread.
Features - Tight round braided serving. # 62XS is 20% stronger of 100% braided Spectra fibre and when served tightly, grips very well. Highest durability, high abrasion resistance, high tenacity. Does not separate, fuzz or wear.
Recommended as a centre serving for 450 Plus, 452X, DynaFLIGHT 97, Formula 8125 and 652 Spectra
Recommended as an end serving for 450 Plus and 452X
Recommended to use silicone wax to penetrate through the serving into the fibres below which are tightly compressed to assist in improving durability.
62XS braided centre serving is available in three sizes
- .018" diameter, 100 yard jig spool, with a 60lbs break strength, approximate ft/lb - 7220
- .021" diameter, 75 yard jig spool, with a 64lbs break strength, approximate ft/lb - 5810
- .025" diameter, 60 yard jig spool, with a 86lbs break strength, approximate ft/lb - 3570
