Abbey Buss or Control Cable

We can supply custom made buss cables and control cables for any compound bow.

The archery association, Archery Manufacturers and Merchants Organization or AMO became the Archery Trade Association (ATA) in late 2002 and the AMO bow length is the standard for measuring and all strings are referred to by their AMO length.

If you have your current cable, please measure, in inches, the length of serving at both ends of the cable and any special requirements. When ordering, please advise details in Special Preparation Instructions in Step 2 of the Checkout process.

If you are not sure of the length of your cable or draw weight or poundage of your bow, please obtain advice, perhaps from your club or contact us for assistance.

It is important to wax your bow string frequently to protect it from the elements and to minimise string abrasion. Simply apply wax directly to your string or roll some wax in the palm of your hands until it becomes soft, pliant and warm and then run the wax up and down the string. Be careful not to apply excessive wax to the string. Bohning Xccelerator Bowstring Wax, Bohning Tex-Tite Bowstring Wax and Bohning Seal-Tite Bowstring Wax are available and can be purchased separately.
