Scott Archery Manufacturing acquires Custom Bow Equipment
January 08: Scott Archery Manufacturing has acquired Custom Bow Equipment, expanding the company's product line into high-quality target sights. "Now dealers and distributors will be able to buy the leading sights and release aids with one phone call," says Brian Jones, General Manager, Scott Archery.
"We want to be the best, not copy the best and the CBE product is known in the industry as a premier target sight" says Eric Griggs, Assistant Manager at Scott. "The quality, customer service and innovation that customers have counted on through the years will continue," says Melanie Scott Jones, President at Scott.
Custom Bow Equipment owners Joe and Sandy Maisano are pleased that product quality will be maintained while distribution will expand as a result of the business sale. "Scott is well-equipped to mass produce our sights and keep the quality," says Joe Maisano. "Scott has a very good reputation. Bill Scott built his company exactly the way ours was built." says Sandy Maisano.
Scott recently expanded its CNC machining equipment and staff of expert craftsmen to manufacture the sights. With the added production capacity, the company will broaden the CBE customer base to include dealers and distributors.
The well-known, high-quality target sights will retain the CBE brand name and designs. Joe and Sandy Maisano will help during the transition and will continue working with Scott throughout 2008.
Scott Archery Manufacturing of Clay City, Kentucky, was founded more than 25 years ago. The company manufactures innovative Scott Archery double and single caliper release aids, as well as CBE brand target sights, with plans to expand to offer a full line of archery accessories by 2010.
