- Only males have antlers. The first and second set of antlers are unbranched and short 2" to 4.7" or 5cm to 12cm, while older bucks in good condition develop antlers up to 8" to 10" or 20cm to 25cm long. Roe deer begin regrowing antlers almost immediately after they are shed.
